One of the most impressive tourist features of Hamburg is the church St. Michaelis, which ever since has been called „Michel“. Certainly it is one of the most beautiful baroque churches of Northern Germany. The tower with its coppery spire is the most important landmark on Hamburg’s skyline.

By car Hamburg is just 30 minutes away from Geesthacht. However, you can get there easily also by bus and train. By bus it takes a ride of 10 minutes to the train station in Bergedorf and then it has to be continued by train (S-Bahn) to Hamburg.
